When burning your candle for the first time, allow the melt pool to reach all the way to the edges of the vessel before extinguishing. This will ensure your candle burns beautifully and evenly in the future.
So try your best to allow a few hours for the first burn to get your candle off to the best start.
In order to get the longest life out of your candle, as well as to avoid smoke, trim your candle wick to about 6mm before burning.
Make sure the surface of the candle is free of any scraps of wick, or any other bits and pieces that might cause trouble.
To clean out your porcelain candle pot first remove as much remaining wax as possible, as well as the remains of the wick. Then, boil a kettle full of water and place your pot in the sink. Add a few drops of washing up liquid into the pot then fill with boiling water. After a minute or so, use a spoon or something similar to stir the soapy water around. Then pour the remaining boiled water from the kettle into the pot, allowing the water to overflow and flushing out the soap and wax. Leave to cool until you can safely handle, then finish washing out the pot. It is ready for it's new life!
Refills are available for both large and small candles. Send back your empty vessels for refilling at half the price of buying new. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
